Series III - Mobile Water Treatment System
The Series III is a fully mobile, self-contained water treatment system designed to treat a wide range of environmental contaminants. The Series III system's proven technology treats contaminants including PCB's, VOC's, and metals, at a flow throughput of 20 to 50 gallons per minute.

MT designs, manufactures, and operates fixed and transportable water treatment facilities to solve specific site problems. By keeping the entire process in-house, MT can produce an immediate inventory of water treatment systems that result in quick field response and cost/time savings for the client. In one project, the Series III was used to decontaminate an abandoned cistern at a former capacitor manufacturing facility that contained PCB and VOC contaminated sludge and water. The time sensitive project involved an elaborate pump and treat system in which MT dewatered the contaminated sludge and sent it off-site for disposal.

Series III is only one example of MT designed and constructed systems that are based on years of experience in the environmental remediation field. The system consists of a multi-stage treatment process that involves oil/water separation, flocculation, clarification, and filtration/carbon vessel activation.

In the preparation stage, MT pumps contaminated water into the pretreatment tank where the pH is adjusted to facilitate oil separation. From the pretreatment tank, the water passes to the oil/water separator. After the oils have been removed, the water flows to a chemical mix tank that raises the pH and adds a flocculant. This mix proceeds to the flocculant tank where a coagulant is added. The mix is then passed to the clarifier and filter-press to remove any sludge or heavy sediment. After leaving the clarifier and filter-press the water reaches the head tank where the pH is re-adjusted accordingly. The final phase of the system involves the water passing through several Rosedale (bag) filters and two activated carbon vessels.

Following treatment, the water is sampled and analyzed to ensure that pollution standards have been met. It is then discharged to an appropriate location. Series III operations use advanced automated chemical and flow control technology and waste water treatment engineering that is closely monitored by knowledgeable and experienced engineers.

Additional MT capabilities, including Analytical Laboratory Services, make Series III a highly comprehensive and cost-effective water treatment service. The Series III has a no-fail performance record and has repeatedly proven to be an effective solution for water decontamination.
