GenCorp Polymer Corporation Demolition
Maxymillian Technologies (MT) performed several remediation contracts
from 1992-1997 that included environmental demolition, PCB
decontamination and lead abatement, and complete demolition of 11 site
buildings and miscellaneous structures.
For the Core Building Demolition, MT performed
specialized remedial demolition including debris removal in 10
buildings encompassing over 13,700 sf of PCB and lead contaminated
facilities. This high profile, sensitive site was underlain by a
contaminated raceway, abutted occupied buildings, and was located near
a hospital and school. Throughout all projects, MT exhibited exemplary
dust and noise control practices in a highly regulated environment.
MT performed all environmental demolition, including
structural bracing, dismemberment, deleading, temporary barriers and a
sedimentation control dam. MT was responsible for extensive plan
submittals, materials handling, and associated waterway work.
Sitework for the Main Buildings area project involved the
demolition of eleven PCB contaminated buildings and several
miscellaneous structures, sheeting and shoring supports for truck
access, asbestos abatement, and water treatment using MT's portable
Water Treatment System. MT was also responsible for the handling,
processing, and loading demolition debris into trucks and containers
for off-site disposal. MT also excavated contaminated soils in several
areas for off-site disposal.
